Advance Peace is transforming how communities across the nation understand and respond to gun violence. Our work begins with people, those most impacted by cycles of harm and those most capable of leading change. Through our signature Peacemaker Fellowship® and an expanding portfolio of programs, trainings, and partnerships, we invest in healing, opportunity, and accountability at the community level.

Below, you can explore the initiatives and partnerships that drive our mission. If you’re interested in partnering, learning more, or connecting with our team, please scroll down to the contact form at the bottom of this page.

Our initiatives are built on credible relationships, lived experience, and collaboration across systems such as law enforcement, social work, mental health, and public health. We focus on preventing violence before it happens, supporting victims and those at risk, and equipping practitioners with the tools they need to build lasting peace.
Advance Peace partners with cities, community-based organizations, and institutions to design and implement effective Community Violence Intervention (CVI) strategies. Each partnership reflects the unique needs and strengths of the local community while aligning with a shared commitment to healing-centered safety.

Advance Peace forms formal partnerships through contracts and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with cities, organizations, and funders committed to ending cycles of trauma and building safer communities. Our work is grounded in collaboration, transparency, and a shared belief that investing in people creates lasting peace.

We partner with city and county leaders, foundations, and community-based organizations to implement the Peacemaker Fellowship® and strengthen community violence intervention efforts.

Our partnership models are tailored to local goals, capacity, and context.

Partnerships may include program development, technical assistance, research and evaluation support, and joint training opportunities—each guided by a clear scope of work and shared accountability to advance a national movement of healing-centered, credible messenger-led practice.
