By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive text messages from Advance Peace, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

 

Program Description

Advance Peace uses SMS text messaging to communicate with community members, supporters, and program participants. Message types may include:

  • Program updates and announcements
  • Event reminders and invitations
  • Community outreach and engagement communications

 

How to Opt In

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Advance Peace by submitting your mobile phone number through an opt-in form on our website at advancepeace.org. By submitting the form, you confirm that you are the account holder or have authorization to opt in the number provided, and that you consent to receive text messages from Advance Peace at that number.

 

Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies. You may receive up to a few messages per month depending on program activity, events, and organizational updates. Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier. Advance Peace does not charge for SMS messages.

 

How to Opt Out

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS communications. Reply HELP for assistance or contact us at connect@advancepeace.org.

 

Data Use & Sharing

Important: Advance Peace does not sell, rent, share, or transfer your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data to third parties for their marketing purposes. Your opt-in information will not be shared with any third party without your explicit consent, except as required by law or as necessary to operate the SMS program.

 

Data Retention & Security

We retain your mobile phone number and opt-in record for as long as you remain subscribed, or as required by applicable law. Advance Peace maintains reasonable safeguards to protect your information, consistent with our organization-wide PII Security and Confidentiality Policy.

 

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at connect@advancepeace.org. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA.

  

Applicant & Candidate Privacy Notice

 

Advance Peace is committed to protecting the privacy of job applicants and candidates. This notice explains what personal information we collect during the hiring process, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to all individuals who apply for employment with Advance Peace, including full-time, part-time, temporary, and contract positions.

 

Information We Collect

During the application and hiring process, we may collect:

  • Full name, address, phone number, and email address
  • Resume, cover letter, work history, and educational background
  • References and reference contact information
  • Responses to application questions, assessments, or screening materials
  • Background check results (with your consent, where applicable)
  • Demographic information provided voluntarily for EEO reporting purposes

 

How We Use Your Information

  • Evaluating your qualifications for the position(s) applied for
  • Communicating with you about your application and candidacy status
  • Conducting reference or background checks, with your consent
  • Meeting EEO and legal compliance obligations

Storage & Protection

Application information is stored securely within our applicant tracking system (ATS) and is accessible only to staff directly involved in the hiring process, consistent with our PII Security and Confidentiality Policy.

 

Sharing Your Information

Advance Peace does not sell or share applicant information for commercial purposes. Limited sharing may occur with ATS or technology vendors under contract, background check providers with your consent, and as required by law.

 

Data Retention

Advance Peace retains applicant records for a minimum of two (2) years following the close of a search, consistent with EEOC recordkeeping requirements and California employment law. Records are destroyed in accordance with our data destruction protocols after the applicable retention period.

 

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your applicant data, subject to our legal retention obligations. California applicants have additional rights under the CCPA. Contact us at hr@advancepeace.org to exercise these rights.

 

EEO Data

Demographic information collected voluntarily during the application process is used solely for EEO compliance and aggregate reporting. It is maintained separately from your application and is not used in hiring decisions.
