If we’re serious about ending gun violence, we must stop neglecting those at the center of it. The individuals who are most likely to shoot—and be shot—are often those who’ve avoided law enforcement reach, not because they are invisible, but because traditional systems aren’t built to reach them.
Advance Peace changes that. We identify and engage those at the highest risk of committing gun violence and being a victim of it, and we invest in their healing, growth, and future with care, connection, and accountability.
Community Violence Intervention (CVI) must center the very people driving the violence if we are ever to achieve sustained reductions. Because until we reach them, we won’t reach the solution.
Advance Peace is dedicated to empowering communities, municipalities, and NGOs with the capacity and infrastructure necessary to effectively identify and responsively support individuals at the center of gun violence in ways that drive sustained reductions in gun violence, and ensures such violence is rare and non-recuring.
